WHO IS THIS MATT?
Matt Hinkley is a professional theater and rock musician braving life in NYC. He works extensively as a music director, guitarist, pianist, orchestrator/arranger, and vocalist for all things theater. He also plays out as a singer/songwriter, both solo and with his fiery, fiery band. Matt is also available for hire as a guitar instructor as well as for notation and copy work; please contact him directly for rates and availability for all of the above. Matt is a graduate of NYU's Steinhardt School (Fightin' Violets!) and a proud member of AFM Local 802.
Matt's songwriting has been described as a unique blend of elements recalling Wilco, Ryan Adams, and The Beatles; you can judge for yourself right here.

Current: THE BURNT PART BOYS at Playwrights Horizons. Matt serves as assistant conductor, guitar/banjo, and rehearsal pianist for the new off-Broadway musical by Chris Miller, Nathan Tysen, and Marianna Elder.
BLOODSONG OF LOVE at Ars Nova: As music director, orchestrator/arranger, and pianist, Matt is proud to have helped guide Bloodsong through a wonderful run and to three Drama Desk nominations, including for Outstanding Music. Congrats to everyone involved.
